MIKE AND ADELLE McKINNEY

Chaplain (Capt.) CAP ; Sr. Member CAP

Anniversary: August 14, 1971

Together the McKinneys have founded two ministries. Currently they pastor World for Jesus International Christian Center in Covina, CA. and are the directors of the Pastors Network, a fellowship of Christian ministers and pastors in the Southern California area. They also serve as the President and Registrar of Promise Christian University.   Mike received his Ph.D. in Theology in 2000. Adelle received her Th.D. in Theology in 2002.

Since 1979 Mike and Adelle have held International Missionary Evangelistic Crusades all over the world. They have hosted three major missions conferences two in Hawaii and one in California. They were on local radio for several years. Adelle was Communications Director at Christian Educators Association International in Pasadena, CA an association of some 7300 Christian Teachers serving in public and private schools.

In 2002, they had the privilege of traveling to the Philippines where they had the honor of meeting former Pres. Fidel Ramos in his offices; and they were welcomed and introduced to the House of Congress by Cong. Joel Villaneuva.  They were also honored to meet and have lunch with Speaker of the House Jose DeVenencia.

In 2000 Mike was accepted as a Chaplain in the Civil Air Patrol. In 2001 Adelle joined as a Senior Member and was appointed Public Affairs Officer by Col Jerry Prickett. Mike and Adelle have both completed Level 1. Mike has completed his 221 and 221a.  

 In 2002, Mike was named Group 1 Chaplain of the Year and Adelle was named Group 1 Public Affairs Officer of the year.  In 2003, Mike was named California Wing Chaplain of the Year, and Adelle was named Pacific Region Public Affairs Officer of the Year.  In 2002 and 2003, Adelle won the Newsletter of the Year Award for Squadron 64 with a $200 check for the squadron. In 2004, Mike was named the PCR Region Chaplain of the Year, and Adelle received the Meritorious Service Award from the PCR Chaplain Service in 2004.

Both are serving out of Squadron 64 in LaVerne.
