I am Chaplain Whit Woodard,
  the Chaplain for Pacific Region. 
Pacific Region covers the states of Alaska, California, 
Hawaii, Oregon, Nevada, and Washington.
These States are called Wings. A Wing Chaplain is
responsible to assist Chaplains and Moral Leadership Officers in carrying out the religious ministry in each unit.

There are 199 units in Pacific Region and each unit needs to be staff with a Chaplain or Moral Leadership Officer.

The Commander of a Unit has the responsibility 
for the religious program for their CAP unit. The Chaplain is on the Command Staff and provides advice and assistance on matters to do with morals, morale and religion.

The three fold mission of Civil Air Patrol are; Aerospace Education, Cadet Program and Emergency Services. 
The Chaplain is an integral part of these missions.
