BECOMING A CHAPLAINS ASSISTANT
Chaplains Assistants are officers in the USV-JSC™ who volunteer to lend
religious and spiritual support to their unit and are not qualified to be
commissioned as chaplains.
This specialty is open to men and women of high moral character who wish to provide religious support for all USV-JSC™ Chaplains, Volunteers and their families. Chaplain Assistants attend a six-week course of instruction in how to support the USV-JSC™'s religious ministry and how to respond to veterans during their times of personal crisis. You'll also be responsible for performing administrative duties, and providing support for the Chaplain.
