WHAT WE DO

WHY WE DO IT

USV-JSC Chaplain University

This University was established solely to train USV-JSC™ chaplains and officers for volunteer work in the United States Volunteers - Joint Services Command.  It is not related to any official chaplains college or university and the curriculum offered is professional development for the membership of USV-JSC.

At USV-JSC we encourage all chaplains to attend a USV-JSC sponsored or approved Chaplains Training Course at least once in every five years.

Chaplains must complete the required professional development courses
for promotions as well.

Dr. Stephen Kirtley,  Director of the USV-JSC Chaplain Programs at Promise Christian University writes:

Our men and women serve in uniform with a uniform purpose and devotion  to sacrifice.  They are willing to fight and die (if necessary) for not just the  best of us, nor just the good amongst us, but for any of us - non-selective.

At USV-JSC we honored these men and women, our veterans, law enforcement agencies, fire and emergency services.

John 15:14 says, "greater love has no one than this that he lay down his     life for his friends."

What greater gift is there than one's life.  This is the awesome gift of our
veterans.  During times of war and peace, they serve our nation with this concept in mind as they protect our liberties and our freedoms.

At the USV-JSC Chaplains University our goal is to impart that sense of duty, honor and compassion to our chaplains who will be ministering to these our veterans in hospitals, in homes and at graveside.
