United
States Volunteers Joint Services Command are recruiting and training qualified men and
women to serve as Chaplains, or Specialist Officers in Ethics and Moral
Leadership, and provide training in military procedures, protocol and
ministering to families during times of loss, grief and dying.
Potential chaplains would have to seek endorsement from their denominations or from a Chaplain’s endorsing organization. Non-chaplain training is available through Promise Christian University. It is a 9 week - 60 hour Certificate Program with 30 hours on the field training.

2. On the Field Training - Provides volunteer locations where these men/women can be evaluated and trained:

D. Senior Center, Rest Homes
E. Hospice
F. Emergency Services
G. Police, Fire Departments
H. Auxiliary Military Organization
(Have supervisors evaluate their performance and get background checks on all volunteers when joining the organization.).
