United States Volunteers Joint Services Command are recruiting and training qualified men and women to serve as Chaplains, or Specialist Officers in Ethics and Moral Leadership, and provide training in military procedures, protocol and ministering to families during times of loss, grief and dying.

Potential chaplains would have to seek military endorsement from their denominations or from a Chaplain’s endorsing organization.

CHAPLAINCY CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
9 Weeks (3 weeks per session)

TOTAL 90 HOURS
AND 30-60 HOURS FIELD PRACTICUM

1. The Chaplains Certificate Training Program - Classroom Work

Five courses are required:  

   Course 1.   Pastoral Counseling
   Course 2.   Spiritual Leadership
   Course  3.  Chaplains Training 1
   Course  4.  Chaplains Training 2
   Course  5.  Chaplains Training 3

  • 2. On the Field Training - Provides volunteer locations where these men/women can be evaluated and trained:

                                        B. Shelter
                                        C. Hospital
                                        D. Senior Center, Rest Homes
                                        E. Hospice
                                        F. Emergency Services
                                        G. Police, Fire Departments
                                        H. Auxiliary Military Organization

    (Have supervisors evaluate their performance and get background checks on all volunteers when joining the organization.).
