TRANSPORTATION IS THE KEY TO ECONOMIC RECOVERY AND GROWTH

The United States has some 30,000 miles of railroad track. As you know, countless accidents occur daily due to maintenance issues and a variety of other reasons, mainly, our current rail transportation system is over 150 years old.

We need a new mass land transportation system that is consistent throughout the United States. You cannot have one type of rail system in New York; another in Missouri and another in California. That would create gridlock as freight would have to be loaded and unloaded constantly. Also it is imperative that we develop a system that is above the ground.

EXCERPT FROM THE TRANSPORTATION MANIFESTO OF MR. ROY VINSON:

Roy Vinson, inventor of the Magnetrain stated, " we must put all future rails overhead above all traffic in such a fashion that there will be no crossings at the same level planes of the on the ground transportation, vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

In the 1900's we had 100 million people in the U.S. In the year 2000, a mere 100 years later we will have almost 270 million people, which represents about 160% growth in population in 100 years. Therefore 100 years from now in the verge of the 22nd century if we use the same percentage of increase our country will have about 500 Million people plus living and working in the United States.

The first maglevs to come to general attention anywhere in the world was the mag lev system developed by Massachusetts Institute of Technology MIT) Professor Thorton and Coln. They were the leaders in this field and there were other noted scientist, such as Dr. Gordon Danby, who had a hand in that development and then the Germans got busy and so did the Japanese. In fact the Japanese based their experimentation and spent billions of dollars on the development an MIT system which is considered the super-conducting system, because it uses electrical wiring high voltage encased in tubes filled with liquid helium, and a refrigeration system, a big part of each car, on a highly complex track that reacts against the electric motor inside the cars. Because it does involved the super cold method of controlling the heat which prevents the electric wires from burning up, I have long called it the cryogenic system, which is a term some of my fellow scientists in the U.S. world are now using to describe this system which is a simple and descriptive way denote a system that is super-conducting. This is a necessary element of superconductivity ~ ultra cold substance to prevent the electrical wiring from burning up.

Now the Japanese had spent over 1 Billion before they apparently ceased to work on their system. What was the result of this investment? It showed the world that you can suspend a moving vehicle, just float on a magnetic cushion, without touching the rails or anything else. For that we must be eternally grateful for Thorton, Coln, Danby and various others.

The Germans, in the meanwhile, opted not to go for the cryogenic system, but to develop an electrical magnetic approach, to suspend their trains by electromagnetic force. And I must say, after their many years of experimentation and spending, oh by now perhaps 1.5 billion or more, in research and development, have come up with a commercial mag lev version that’s currently being built between Bremmerhofen and Berlin at great cost and with a lot of objections. While this system will work, there’s no question that it will work, and can ascertain speeds in excess of 300 mph. - the very limitations of the electromagnetic systems are such that those types of systems can never be acceptable as a viable commercial train. In the first place, they require a track that is within 15/100 of an inch of vertical flatness in order to operation. And they must operate within a 1/10 of inch of the track. This is an extremely critical point. That is why this system must let us say build and maintain a very finely constructed rail system. They type of mag lev will have to have a system that can instantly and precisionally cut the electricity on and off in milliseconds to activate or deactivate the electro magnets to keep the train from raising up against the electromagnetic hooks underneath the track or falling down on the track itself. It’s actually a marvel of German engineering that they was able to construct sensors and electronic switches good enough to sustain a vehicle in a non-compact position for even l/2 a mile, much less 100 miles.

This track alone requires that it continually be bulwarked or supported by pylons or piers or whatever you choose to call it. It must therefore be essentially at ground level with just enough supports underneath to construct the track and make a perfectly flat. Needless to say any

considerable earth movements, as earth quakes or such, would destroy the tracks ability to carry the train. It would have to be rectified before they could resume operation on it.

Then too it can be expected that the minute precision with which they must operate to the track would prove a very difficult thing to maintain and a tremendously expensive thing to maintain. And based on my experience, I imagine there will be great difficultly in attainting maximum practical speed which is just under the speed of sound (625 MPH) which I don’t believe they will be able to achieve with any degree of safety or sureness.. I calculate that it would be unsafe and unpractical to engineer a system that could go more than 625 MPH because of devastating impact it would have on the human beings at ground level.

What is the Solution?

Now let us talk about a third system which has not received very much publicity and no financial investment as of this writing. It is a system that is lifted by permanent magnets. Permanent magnets do not require any electrical force or any other. Their own strength are within their crystalline substance. Now there has been for several years a short permanent mag lev system in Berlin which was recently dismantled. I understand it is was about ½ mile long and they did separate their train from the track with electro magnets. However, what I consider to be buffer wheels had to be utilized in this system to prevent the cars from grabbing the steel rail from which they are supporting.

Magnetrain Worldwide Group SYSTEMS HAS TAKING ON THE CHALLENGE OF FULFILLING MR. VINSONS’ VISION OF BUILDING THE WORLD’S FIRST PERMANENT MAGLEV SYSTEM.

MWG MAGLEV SYSTEM’S SAFETY FEATURES:

1. Elevated Track

a. Eliminates all cross traffic on the same plane. Most cross traffic will pass under the MWG Maglev rails - a lesser amount, above the rails. No more crossing accidents.

b. Eliminates obstruction of the tracks by wind-driven or flood-borne debris, animals (particularly large animals), rocks and other material placed on the tracks by children or deliberate saboteurs.

2. Suspended Design

By suspending MWG Maglev beneath the rails, we achieve:

A negative center of gravity far more resistant to high winds and wind gusts than an above-track design.

Greater separation of the great magnetic lifting force from the passenger and cargo areas.

3. Permanent High Energy Magnets

The use of high energy permanent magnets for levitation instead of electromagnets or superconductivity magnets eliminates the need of electrical energy for that purpose and the sensitive control systems these systems require.

These permit a single design utilizing hydraulics to control the magnets automatically and continuously under all conditions of car load, steady-state winds or wind gusts without the risks of failure of sensitive controls.

4. Car Design

The MWG Maglev shock attenuation and shock absorbing methods under patent preparation
should result in saving many lives and many injuries in case of sabotage or natural cataclysm.

5. Track Safety

The use of an elevated design eliminates accidental contact with the "third rail" external electrical energy by people or animals except for track workers.

The several redundant anti-sabotage safety features described as under patent preparation, of course, will result in the greatest protection against sabotage of any ground transport system every conceived.

The Magnetrain Worldwide Group System’s UNIQUE BENEFITS ARE:

* It will cost less to maintain and operate than any other existing mag lev system and high speed rail systems.

* It is environmentally friendly.

* It is quiet.

* It is clean.

* It does not interfere in the operation of cattle ranching nor farming.

* It can use existing right of ways saving billions of dollars.

* It is earthquake resistant.

CUSTOMER POTENTIAL

At this stage, there will be a potential buyers for the initial World Mag Lev line whether it be the light rail system for an area such as Honolulu from the airport to the convention center, or an inter-airport people moving system; or the Magnetrain Worldwide Group buyer could be a heavy rail line from Las Vegas to Ontario; or Los Angeles to Sacramento; or even in Saudi Arabia from Jeddah to Mecca.

Magnetrain Worldwide Group Systems has also been approached by a multi-national company to built the first transcontinental track in Africa once the commercial vehicle and system is fully tested and developed.

Magnetrain Worldwide Group’s number one potential customer is the United States. There is almost 30,000 miles of 100-150 year old trackage in the U.S. The poor condition of the existing track system causes hundreds of accidents each year. To replace the convention locomotive with the Magnetrain Worldwide Group system will take perhaps almost 75-100 years at a cost in the trillions of dollars.

THE FUTURE POTENTIAL OF Magnetrain Worldwide Group SYSTEMS

Those fortunate investors in Magnetrain Worldwide Group today, will not live to see the last Magnetrain Worldwide Group line and/or system built and developed.

The Magnetrain Worldwide Group System is a new technological industry for the 21st Century and beyond. The unlimited market potential goes beyond the United States to the nations of the world such as China, Russia, India, Africa, South America. It is totally unlimited. Magnetrain Worldwide Group’s design can be modified to accommodate any kind of terrain, congested cities, uninhabited large land expanses, mountainous regions, etc.

Magnetrain Worldwide Group’s system is simple, clean, environmentally friendly, quiet, almost zero maintenance cost.

Feasibility studies have been already accomplished for major cities in the United States and elsewhere. (See High Speed Trains are coming to America, MagLev Association Map).

COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES OF the Magnetrain Worldwide Group System.

Advantages of the Magnetrain Worldwide Group are as follows:

1. Magnetrain Worldwide Group requires no electrical energy to provide the lift. This eliminates the maintenance costs of the electro-magnetic and super- conducting systems which would require trackage to be maintained at

"jewelers" tolerance levels at all times of which maintenance of such precision costs would be astronomical.

2. Magnetrain Worldwide Group requires no sensitive sensors and electrical switches to control the magnetic lifting force. A simple, rugged hydraulic system automatically "weighs" each car at all times and under all conditions and "orders" the permanent magnets to accommodate such conditions without sensors, switches or computers.

3. Magnetrain Worldwide Group requires no precision built track to function perfectly. The air gap between the cars and track may vary several inches or as

little as is required for a specific design.

4. Magnetrain Worldwide Group’s track design is the only track design which

incorporation flexible construction for maximum earthquake

resistance; that is, each segment of rails and their attached supports may move independently of adjacent segments. Magnetrain Worldwide Group track system is flexible and is the most earthquake resistant design ever conceived. Only the Magnetrain Worldwide Group can use this flexible track system.

5. The Magnetrain Worldwide Group elevated track design permits installation at minimum cost over existing streets, roads, highways, tracks, right of ways, canals, rivers, and rough terrain of all types.

6. Magnetrain Worldwide Group is the only rail system in history to feature a split car design. The split car design permits the power and levitation compartment to automatically and continuously "weigh" the cargo and passenger compartment and order the magnets to accommodate all conditions that affect the car. The split car design shields passengers and cargo from the immense magnetic forces that could have harmful effects unlike other magLev designs currently on the marketplace today.

7. Magnetrain Worldwide Group will use linear motors for propulsion.

These motors use far less power than the locomotives of conventional trains. It is estimated 75% less energy is required per passenger mile or ton mile.

8. Magnetrain Worldwide Group safety features under development for

patent application will provide never before used design features to greatly protect passengers at all speeds.

9. Magnetrain Worldwide Group tower-supported flexible track design is the only

system in the world which permits farming operations of all types to continue without loss of land.

PROJECTED COSTS OF Magnetrain Worldwide Group SYSTEMS PROTOTYPE:

MAGNETS

Very high energy permanent magnets and their associated hydraulic control system are the essence and core of the Magnetrain Worldwide Group System. Since the permanent magnets and the hydraulic control system replace the entire running gear of conventional rail cars (wheels, axles, bearings, springs) the cost of the magnetic/hydraulic system of Magnetrain Worldwide Group would be perhaps 50% more than the running gear of convention trains in these early years. However, in the next few years, the cost of magnets will decline to such a great extent that magnetic/hydraulic systems of Magnetrain Worldwide Group will cost far less than the running gears of a conventional rail car of any type- passenger, freight, tanker, etc. In 1973 relatively low-strength rare-earth-cobalt (RECO) magnets costs about $500 per pound. In 1987, NdFeB magnets of six times greater strength can be had for about $40 a pound. In short, the same amount of magnetic strength costs less than 2% of what it did fourteen years ago. How much will it cost when Magnetrain Worldwide Group is built?

Also, Dr. Klaus Kronenberg verified that one of the world’s greatest deposits of rare-earth and essential component of these man-made magnets is found locally near Death Valley and it is an unlimited supply!

MOTORS

Most cars of Magnetrain Worldwide Group (preferably all cars) will be equipped with double-excited linear synchronous motors. In volume production, these motors will add cost to each car. However, Magnetrain Worldwide Group does not require locomotives, therefore the extra costs of the linear motors will be largely offset by the costs of locomotives.

CAR BODIES

Magnetrain Worldwide Group cars of all types will be much lighter in weight than cars of conventional trains. Passenger cars will feature frames of high-tonsil strength, light weight steel. Car "skins" will be of the new composite material of carbon and polymers, which can be formed as a unit at a very low cost. All types of cars will be required. Aircraft-type construction will be featured on all types of Magnetrain Worldwide Group cars.

RAIL LINES

It is expected that Magnetrain Worldwide Group rail lines will cost, perhaps 50% more than conventional rail lines except through rugged terrain, mountain, swamps, deserts and built-up areas.

But it is also estimated that Magnetrain Worldwide Group will cost 25-30% less than its nearest MagLev competitor and 90-100% less to maintain.

It should cost much less in such areas because no bridging will be required and in all areas, no roadbed will be require.

WILL WE CATCH THE VISION? OR WILL THE Magnetrain Worldwide Group SYSTEMS HAVE TO TAKE THE VISION TO EUROPE, ASIA, OR THE MIDDLE EAST?

Some examples of American ingenuity lost:

* Simon Lake developed the submarine. The Germans almost won WWI and WWII with it.

* The Wright brothers developed the airplane but not one American airplane flew in France in WWI. Not one, we borrowed them from the French and the British. * Monroe developed the Monroe principle to blast holes in the sides of the furnaces,

to let the ore out, the molten ore. The Germans developed the Panzer flaus to blow our tanks apart at any point.

* Browning the greatest gunsmith and gun inventor in history could not sell his product here but sold it to Belgium. They made several Billions of dollars in the last 75 years in Browning patents.

* Christie invented the suspension for army tanks and he couldn’t convince our own ordnance corp that it was a good suspension so he sold it to the British, French and the Russians. Before the end of WWII we had 5,000,000 tanks equipped the so called Christie suspension.

So you see on and on. Throughout our history, this great rich virginal land, has not been too responsive to new ideas and new concepts. Our hopes are that your Senator will see what was envisioned by the Mr. Roy Vinson, the Assistant to the Head of the Apollo Moon Program at North American Aviation who’s team put the first man on the moon in 1969.
