Four Chaplains

CHAPLAINS TRAINING

Promise Christian University is honored to assist the United States Volunteer Reserve Corp (United States Volunteers Joint Services Command) in recruiting and training qualified men and women to serve as Chaplains, or Chaplain’s Assistants, and provide training in military procedures, protocol and ministering to families during times of loss, grief and dying.

Chaplains are also instructed in Pastoral Care, Leadership, First Aid, CPR and Emergency Services.

Promise Christian University (PCU) is a registered institution with the California Bureau of Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education.

PCU is a Christian College specializing in the training of men and women for ministry. Celebrating it’s 8th year and 160h graduate.

This professional training meets basic requirements for most volunteer chaplaincy positions.

Those seeking active military chaplaincy are invited to attend Chaplaincy I which is an introduction to Military Chaplaincy.  However, the requirements to serve as an active duty military chaplain includes:
1.   Undergraduate degree from an accredited  college
2.   Master of Divinity from an ATS school or 5 years of pastoral experience.
3.   Military endorsement from your denomination.

Potential chaplains would have to seek military endorsement from their denominations or from a Chaplain’s endorsing organization such as Full Gospel Chaplaincy Association, headed by Chaplain (Col). Jim Ammerman (Dallas, Texas).
