Pastors and Friends,
You are receiving this new newsletter because we included your email
address in our new monthly email server at Injesus.com.
For $20.00 you can send as many as 20,000 emails through their service to
the body of Christ. If you would not like to be included on our
mailing list from InJesus.com you will still receive mailings from time to
time from pastorsnet@aol.com which
is the Pastors Network Email Address. You can opt out of
either at any time, but we hope you will want to continue to hear
interesting news from the Pastors Network. We try to be very
selective of the news we send because we know that all of our email boxes
are always filled.
We had a wonderful time of fellowship together at the Valentines Brunch
on Saturday Feb. 5, 2005. The Castaway's Restaurant is just
magnificent. So, perhaps we can do this again next year. The
two husbands that get the award for remembering to bring a gift for their
loving wives are: Pastor Manny Chata, and Chaplain Stephen Kirtley.
This weekend is full of activities:
Ray of Hope Men's Breakfast at 9:00 a.m. 260 E. College St. in
Covina. Pastor Mickey Rodriguez will be the speaker.
Danny Diaz at 1:00 p.m. at TBN's Headquarter Studio in Costa Mesa will be
taping a live program for future broadcasting. If you would like to
see how TV works, please come.
Emmanuel Baptist Church in San Dimas is hosting a Women's Seminar Friday
and Saturday . Guest speakers will focus on all topics pertaining to
helping ladies to become all that they can be in Christ.
Promise Christian University will be at Brighter Day Ministries in
Montclair for those interested in Christian Counseling. The subject
is Counseling Practicum II.
PRAY FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST
Friday night, Feb. 18th at Valley Christian Center, 1404 W. Gladstone, San
Dimas. Prayer meeting is hosted by World for Jesus International and

Million
Dollar Deception
—Michael Medved
The chief obligation
of any film critic is to tell the truth--even if that means giving away
some twists of the movies we review.
Consider, for instance, Clint Eastwood's Oscar contender, "Million
Dollar Baby," which has been promoted with one of the most dishonest
PR campaigns in Hollywood history. Warner Brothers boosts the film as a
boxing movie about a feisty underdog--sort of a female
"Rocky"--but "Baby" ends up as a right-to-die message
movie portraying assisted suicide as unequivocally heroic.
Potential filmgoers need to know this information, without telling them
which character wants to die or why, because the one-sided euthanasia
theme ultimately overwhelms the film's other elements.
The producers seek to hide this fact not just to preserve the element of
surprise, but because they know that if the public knew the depressing
substance of this release, very few movie fans would pay their money to
see it.
Michael Medved is
the host of The
Michael Medved Show.

VALENTINES
TIDBITS:
WORDS OF WISDOM FROM GRANDPA _____
Whether a man winds up with a nest egg, or a goose egg, depends a lot on
the kind of chick he marries.
Trouble in marriage often starts when a man gets so busy earnin' his salt,
that he forgets his sugar.
Too many couples marry for better, or for worse, but not for good.
When a man marries a woman, they become one; but the trouble starts when
they try to decide which one.
If a man has enough horse sense to treat his wife like a thoroughbred, she
will never turn into an old nag.
On anniversaries, the wise husband always forgets the past - but never the
present.
A foolish husband says to his wife, "Honey, you stick to the washin',
ironin', cookin', and scrubbin'. No wife of mine is gonna
work."
The bonds of matrimony are a good investment, only when the interest is
kept up.
Many girls like to marry a military man - he can cook, sew, and make
beds, and is in good health, and he's already used to taking orders. (How
true)
Long ago when men cursed and beat the ground with sticks, it was called
witchcraft........Today, it's called Golf.
