Raising Funds to Purchase your own church building. Once your congregation begins to grow, you will get the vision of having your own church building. A word of advice, don't buy until you are ready! It is one thing to pay a minimum rent and another thing to pay a mortgage, insurance, taxes and utilities. When you have raised a minimum of 50% of the asking price you are in a good position to buy. The more the better! Here's some fundraising ideas: 1. Building Fund - Receive a special offering once a
month for this fund. 2. Develop a Joseph Ministry, men and women who are business minded. Pray for the success of their businesses and ask them to support the ministry with their tithes and offerings. 3. If you allow fundraising - keep in mind that unless you have hundreds of members... your fundraising will never equal the amount of funds you can raise in pledges. Your members can work all day long to host a dinner etc. and at the end of the day after expenses only raise $1,000-$2,000. This kind of fundraising should focus on evangelism and fellowship! Winning new people to the Lord and giving your congregation a project! 4. Prayer. It is not an accident when a church begins a serious prayer ministry that miracles begin to happen. Even if it is only your senior citizens who are faithfully interceding for the needs of the church...you will see great results! |
