ORGANIZING YOUR THESIS OR RESEARCH PAPER

For illustration purposes, let's use the Life of Christ.

Step 1: Outline the topic

INTRODUCTION

(Introduce the topic of the Life of Christ. Also, specify what aspect of Christ's life you will be writing about - His Miracle Ministry, His Divine Purpose
His Divinity etc.)

CHAPTER 1 - THE EARLY YEARS

CHAPTER 2 - THE MINISTRY

CHAPTER 3 - THE TRAINING OF THE TWELVE

CHAPTER 4 - THE SACRIFICE

CHAPTER 5 - THE RESURRECTION

CONCLUSION

BIBLIOGRAPHY

Step 2 - RESEARCH
Using a recommended text as the main source and the Bible, gather additional material from your library of books, magazines, public library. Interesting quotes, statements which you will footnote.

Step 3 - ORGANIZE
Using your outline begin to organize your work. Remembering that the grader will be looking for the following in your paper:

1. Neatness
2. Logical progression of 
     thought
3. Clarity and cohesiveness of
     the discussion
4. Strong introduction and
    conclusion
5. Good bibliography

Step 4 - WRITE
Naturally the more research done on the subject the better the grade.

Step 5 - PACKAGE
The best packaging is having your paper bound with a spiral binding. It looks more professional. However, simple packaging is also acceptable. Papers are graded on content and overall appearance.
